Yoga for Migraine Attack Onset & Recovery
w/ Pattie McCann ERYT500 $20
Those who have suffered with migraine attacks are likely to know and recognize their triggers so they can anticipate the onset. They probably also know the “migraine hangover” feeling when their brain feels fogged and their body is still exhausted. Calming the nervous system can be a great help during the anticipation and aftermath of migraine attacks. And gentle yoga, calming breath practices, and mindfulness are proven to be wonderful aids to offer that nervous system calming.
This will be a very gentle yoga movement practice with some soothing breath practice and will include a little restorative yoga with a brief yoga nidra (yogic sleep). It could be a helpful practice for those with chronic pain as well. Participants will receive a handout to take home as a reminder of the practice.
This is a practice suitable for anyone, with yoga experience or without. Pattie recently studied yoga and migraine specifically with medical professionals, yoga teachers and therapists who have specialized in the subject. She’s anxious to share what she learned about migraine and yoga with our community.
