As the November 5th super moon, the Hunter’s Moon, wanes, the time is right for letting go and reflection—-a perfect time to release negative emotions. Join Pattie McCann E-RYT500 for a practice that turns you deeply inward.
Nidra means sleep, so a literal translation is yogic sleep. This yogic sleep is an ancient form of meditation that takes us to a deeper state of conscious relaxation. The intention of the practice is a state, verging on sleep, where the senses and mind can completely let go and the brain activity can lessen to move the body to healing. An hour of yoga nidra is said to offer the benefits of four hours of sleep.
There will be a very brief & gentle posture practice to prepare the body to rest comfortably in the reclined, resting position. Then Pattie will guide you into the moving awareness from the external world to the internal.
