Yoga is more than just a physical exercise program. It’s a chance to understand ourselves on a deeper level and live with more peace and ease in the world. For two weeks Pattie will be exploring the underlying philosophy and psychology of yoga. We’ll dig into why our minds work the way they do, why yoga says we can’t think our way to peace and happiness, and how yoga works to lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.
These classes are the beginning of a series of eight classes about yoga philosophy and living a more balanced and mindful life. Classes will be offered Friday evenings and Sunday mornings in April. Together the classes give you a deeper understanding of how yoga works and, if you complete the eight class series, we'll give you a Deepened Practice certificate. But the classes can be taken individually as well. All of these are discussion classes without posture practice.
